Labante Cave and Rocchetta Mattei
Discover the Travertine Caves of Labante, among the largest in Italy of this material. They are 54 meters long and have a difference in height of about 15 meters. Inside, the rock is completely hollow, giving rise to a unique karst phenomenon. Next to the small lake, present in front of one of the two entrances to the Caves of Labante, you can observe another part of the cave that hides inside the suggestive nativity scene of San Cristoforo Labante, admirable in all seasons.
Visit Rocchetta Mattei, the enchanting pearl castle of the Bolognese Apennines that is located on a hypnotic rock built by Cesare Mattei, the father of electrohomeopathy. A fairytale and enchanted place.
